Program of Community Action on the Prevention of AIDS and Certain Other Communicable Diseases

Objective

The aim of this program is to control and prevent the spread of the HIV virus and other communicable diseases. The main interests of the program are the following areas:

• surveillance and control of communicable diseases;

• combating transmission;

• information, education and training;

• support for persons with HIV/AIDS and combating discrimination.

Eligibility

Public bodies and non-governmental organizations active in the above areas are eligible to apply.

Geographical Area

European Union. Accession countries are encouraged to participate by joining important European projects/networks that have already been established by the Community program. Participation also depends on whether the country has opted to participate in this program. For more information please consult European Commission delegation in your country.

Deadline for Funding

No call for proposals will be launched until the new strategy is adopted.
